Technology
Convective Drying
Hot air in direct contact for fast drying of granules and powders
How it works
Hot air contacts the material directly and carries moisture away. The range covers tray ovens, spin flash dryers, and vertical and horizontal fluid bed dryers, so the type can be matched to the material form and handling.
- Transformation
- Wet material → Dry granules / powder
- Typical feed
- Filter cakes, pastes, granules, flakes and wet powders
- Typical output
- Dried granules or powders
- Scale
- Pilot
Key advantages
- 01
High heat and mass transfer, fast drying
- 02
Batch and continuous formats available for trials
- 03
Relatively simple to operate and clean
- 04
Generates drying-curve data to support scale-up
